Next I opened (double-clicked on) the Chief Architect X7 Marvin Windows and Doors zip file (39.1MB), which contains 30 files one of which is named Marvin.calib (40,981KB). When I access the Marvin link noted in your responses above, a listing of the following file types are shown: AutoCAD (DWG), AutoCAD (DXF), Chief Architect X6 thru X10 for Marvin Windows and Doors, Revit, SketchUp, SoftPlan and two PDF files (Tips for Using Revit Files and Installing a SoftPlan Library). I assume the only option I have is to pay for SSA, dongal & DVD now & hope it arrives sometime in the near future. I now get the feeling that the download method is a sneaky way of making us keep up SSA. I do want X4 when it is available on DVD with a dongal & am willing to pay the large additional cost for doing so ($ 670 + postage). Help & got the reply that I could not re-load until I paid my SSA dues. All was well until I tried to load X3 again.
As I was told that one of the programs I had only worked properly in Windows 7, I decided to load it in lieu of Vista. I had to re-format my computer yesterday as Windows Vista files became corrupt. It just looks like ther setting up to charge extra for Library then after that the next step will be charge a yearly fee to access it. (not holding my breath) Ben Moore, Sherwin Williams, and others all makes changes and this will help keep the libraries current for us. The Jeld-Wen library has been dumped because Jeld-Wen change nomenclature, etc. With a date on the library we can see that it is current. We need current products in the library, old stuff doesn't help us at all. Rick, 'ART' has been gone for at least a few years. The JW library was old and most importantly not correct to what you would buy. Seems very suspicious that ART is doing that Rick, 'ART' has been gone for at least a few years.
